"All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my mother." -A. Lincoln
I really do owe my mom for the person I am today. If it weren't for my mom and her constant presence in my life, who knows where life would've taken me. It was my mom who taught me the right from the wrong, taught me my ethics, instilled in me my morals, made me a strong, independent woman.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies in the entire universe!!! ;) Please excuse the way I look in this photo buuuuuut I was veryyyy tired that day (this was taken a few years back at a good Cuban restaurant by the way hehe).
Today was pretty much a stay at home day. I bought breakfast for my mom, nephew, and sister this morning and for the first time in a long time, we all sat at the table together to have breakfast. I remember when that was a common thing... it felt good to have everyone together for breakfast.
The rest of the day, I was in bed, relaxing as was everyone else. I worked a bit on some marketing pieces for November Star Photography , sent out some thank you notes via email to some clients, and made sure to wish all my good mommy friends a great Mother's Day!
Just a little while ago, the whole family (including my brother and sister's bf) sat at the table for a Cuban dinner (lol). I am STUFFED to say the least. I also took the opportunity to discuss with my brother an exercise plan for the summer. We'll see how that goes. Story. of. my. life.
Overall, it was a very nice weekend. I got to spend time with friends and family and I am happy to finally be getting out more and enjoying myself more.
